CYPRESS DESIGN EVENTS
About Christopher Woods
However, as much as I loved my job at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I eventually began to feel limited in terms of my career growth and development. I wanted to expand my skills and experience in the events industry, and I knew that I needed to take the next step in my journey.
That's when I decided to make the move to San Francisco and start working as an Events Producer for a high-end catering company. This role gave me the opportunity to work on larger and more complex events, and to be a part of a team that was dedicated to creating luxury experiences for our clients. I quickly learned the importance of attention to detail and the value of working with a talented and dedicated team. I was able to use my skills and knowledge to help bring clients' visions to life, and I loved being able to work on a variety of events, including weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.
However, as much as I enjoyed my time as an Events Producer, I eventually realized that I wanted to have more control over the events I worked on and the way they were executed. That's when I decided to take the leap and start my own company as the Creative Director for Cypress Design Events planning company.
Starting my own business has been a challenging but rewarding experience. I've had to learn how to manage all aspects of the company, from marketing and sales to budgeting and finances. But it's been worth it because I've been able to create a company that reflects my own values and vision for the events industry. One of the things that set my company apart is our focus on sustainability and eco-friendliness. I've always been passionate about environmental conservation, and I want to use my events to help educate people about the importance of taking care of our planet. I also pride myself on being able to create unique and personalized events that truly reflect the personalities and visions of my clients. Whether it's a romantic and intimate wedding or a high-energy corporate event, I strive to make every event a memorable and special experience for all involved.
As I look back on my journey in the events industry, I'm grateful for the many experiences and opportunities that have brought me to where I am today. From my time at the Monterey Bay Aquarium to my role as an Events Producer, I've learned so much about what it takes to create successful and meaningful events.
Now, as the Creative Director of my own company, I'm excited to continue growing and learning and to use my skills and expertise to help create unforgettable events for my clients. Whether I'm working on a small, intimate gathering or a large-scale celebration, I'm always looking for ways to push the boundaries and create something truly special
My journey in the events industry began when I landed a job as the Internal Catering Events Coordinator at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I had always been fascinated by the beauty and wonder of marine life, and the opportunity to work at such a renowned and respected organization was a dream come true.
As the Internal Catering Events Coordinator, my main responsibilities included coordinating and executing all Internal catering events held within the aquarium. This role allowed me to combine my love for event planning with my passion for marine conservation. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job was being able to help bring people closer to the ocean and educate them about the importance of marine conservation. I took great pride in being a part of a great team being able to create unique and memorable experiences for guests, while also helping to raise awareness and support for the aquarium's conservation efforts.
